Symptomatic remission defined on the basis of discharge Clinical Global Impressions-Severity of Illness Scale (CGI-S) scores—CGI-S score ≤3 “remission” whereas CGI-S scores >3 were indicative of poor outcome.
Symptomatic remission is the dependent variable, and adjusted odds ratios are reported controlling for length of time in the service and admission CGI-S score.
Functional remission defined on the basis of employment status (paid or unpaid full-or part-time employment, being an active student, homemaker, or full- or part-time volunteer) and independent living (head of household, living alone, with partner, or with peers; and living with family with minimal supervision).
