In vitro LPS binding by LptC. The ability of LptA-TEV-His₆ or LptC(24–191)-TEV-His₆ to bind to purified O9a LPS was assessed by its co-elution from Ni²⁺-NTA affinity chromatography resin. LPS was examined by SDS-PAGE and silver staining (upper) after proteinase K digestion of the elution fractions. LptA-TEV-His₆ and LptC(24–191)-TEV-HIS₆ protein in each elution fraction were also examined by SDS-PAGE and stained with SimplyBlue SafeStain (lower).
