(B) DmFtz-AAAA animals showed normal A1 and A2, but abnormal A3 segments with bristles (arrowhead) and no aristae. (C) DmFtz-FNWS and (D) DmFtz-YHQM effects were similar to DmFtz-AAAA. (E) DmFtz-YPPWLK caused transformation of aristae into partial legs with two segments (arrows) and malformed A3 segments. (F) DmFtz-YPWM caused complete transformation of aristae to legs with five segments.
