Using the same flip angle scheme shown in Fig. 3a that was calculated using T1/T2 = 907/50 ms, echo amplitudes were simulated at (a) various T1 factors, (b) various T2 factors, (c) various T1 and T2 factors but keeping ratio of T1/T2 the same and (d) at various B1 factors. Other relaxation species are not adversely affected by the variable flip angles. Slice profile effects could be inferred from the plots in (d). All of these sensitivities do not cause oscillations, instead they result in smooth modulation of k-space weighting.
