Comparison of the scaling of spatial versus genomic nucleosome separation. The data show results from two-color FISH experiments (2). One can see that the disturbed chromatin fibers are much closer to the experimentally determined points. The remaining differences come from the fact that in the simulations only one chromatin fiber was simulated at a time (dilute chromatin), whereas the experiments were done in a crowded environment that furthermore had the confinement of the cell nucleus.
