Representative lateral diffusion trajectories of each mobile species are shown, where each trajectory is 42 frames of a single protein diffusing on PC/PIP₃ (98:2) bilayers acquired at 20 frames/s. Molecules were tracked using the Particle Tracker plugin for ImageJ (24). Coordinates of trajectories have been offset for clarity. Note that the net lateral displacement decreases as the number of PIP₃-bound domains increases.
