Semiquantitative RT-PCR analysis of the transcription of the as-48A permuted genes. RNA was isolated from E. faecalis JH2-2 carrying the recombinant pAM401-81Mut constructions. Samples of 5 μl were taken at 15, 20, 25, and 30 cycles of control rRNA (A) and specific genes (B).
