A match, HL-A identity between recipient and donor; B match, compatibility between donor and recipient, but fewer antigens determined in the donor; C match, one antigen incompatible; D match, two antigens incompatible; E match, three or four antigens incompatible; F match, ABO violation or positive crossmatch to cytotoxic antibodies.

Retransplanted after 68 days with C-match graft. Thus, the I-year survival was due mainly to the second, less well matched organ.
