P-values were calculated under the additive model of inheritance and adjusted for genomic control factor λ (=1.16 for BMI and =1.18 for fat mass), age, gender and first four vectors of MDS for the Sorbian cohort. P-values for the DGI sample are adjusted for genomic control.

Reference allele is the minor allele (A1) for all cohorts. For SNPs not within a gene, the closest gene is given. Only SNPs with both a P-value<0.0001 for BMI and fat mass in the Sorbs are presented (sorted by P-value for association with BMI). Positions (BP) are based on NCBI Build 35 annotation. MAF (minor allele frequency) is given for each cohort.
