Blood parameters in rats overexpressing β-gal, WT LGS, or activated mutant LGS
After sacrificing the animals, blood samples were taken to measure the metabolites and hormones indicated. Glucose was measured in whole blood, whereas the rest of the parameters were determined in plasma. In all cases, data represent the mean ± S.E. of the following: seven fasted and seven fed β-gal-overexpressing rats; five fasted and six fed WT LGS-overexpressing rats; and five fasted and five fed mutant LGS-overexpressing rats.
