Two-way paradigm (organ). Bidirectional mechanism of whole organ graft acceptance involving a graft-vs-host (GVH) reaction by the bone marrow–derived donor leukocytes in the graft that are pitted against the whole recipient immunologic apparatus (host-vs-graft [HVG], rejection).
