Immunohistochemistry of eNOS in animals of the control (Con), ovariectomy (Ovx), and ovariectomy followed by 17β-estradiol treatment (Ovx+Est) groups. Immunoreactivity of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) was detected in the capillaries and venules. The eNOS protein expression was significantly reduced after ovariectomy, but was restored to the control value after 17β-estradiol treatment.
