Protein analysis of the TAFI-TCI crystals. Crystals of the complex were washed extensively with reservoir solution, dissolved in water and subjected to SDS-PAGE stained with Coomassie (panel A). The pinpointed 60-kDa band was analyzed by peptide mass fingerprint at the IBB-UAB Proteomics Facility. The tryptic peptides detected by MALDI-TOF MS are shown in red in the TAFI sequence (panel B) and include peptides derived from the pro-domain. The catalytic domain is shown in bold.
