System overview. Medical Language Extraction and Encoding System (MedLEE) processes and encodes unstructured free texts into XML format. The five main modules, namely “Outcome Extraction,” “Reperfusion Detection (Measure 1),” “Complication Search (Measure 2),” “Medication Search (Measures 3, 4, 5, and 6), and “LDL measurement (Measures 7 and 8),” comprise the assessment of quality of care in the patients with STEMI, UA/NSTEMI, or undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
