Clinical presentation secondary to gallstone spillage
  1. Infective:

    1. Local:

      1. Liver abscess.

      2. Subhepatic abscess.

      3. Retrohepatic abscess.

      4. Intra-abdominal abscess.

    2. Distant:

      1. Retroperitoneal abscess.

      2. Loin abscess.

      3. Pelvic abscess.

  2. Cutaneous complications:

    1. Sinus formation.

    2. Port site infections.

    3. Granuloma formation.

    4. Colocutaneous fistula.

  3. Mechanical:

    1. Intestinal obstruction.

    2. Lodgement in distant hernial sacs.

    3. Dyspareunia, tenesmus (pelvic migration).

    4. Middle colic artery thrombosis.

  4. Chest: Empyema, cholelithoptysis.

  5. Urinary tract: Excretion, haematuria.

  6. Systemic: Septicaemia.
