(B&G) A normal-hearing adult, (C&H) a normal-hearing child, (D&I) a deaf child who has used a cochlear implant for 5 months, and (E&J) a deaf child hearing through a cochlear implant on the day of initial activation. Note that the left side (blue tracings) was not significant for this child in either HbO or HbR.
