Elution profile of Drgal1-L2 from a HiPrep 16/60 Sephacryl S-100 High Resolution column (GE Healthcare). Inset: the standard curve was obtained using the proteins bovine serum albumin (67 kDa), ovalbumin (43 kDa), carbonic anhydrase (29 kDa) and ribonuclease A (13.7 kDa) and estimated the molecular weight of Drgal1-L2 to be 33 kDa (the molecular weight is consistent with that of a dimeric protein structure). K av = (V e − V o)/(V t − V o), where V e is the elution volume of the protein, V o is the void volume and V t is the bed volume.
