Figure 4. Relative triglyceride hydrolase activities, conservation, and bioinformatic predictions.

Figure 4

Triglyceride hydrolase activity: Enzymatic activity is given as relative to wild type ATGL after stimulation with murine GST-ABHD5 and corrected for Cos-7 background activity. Stimulation with ABHD5 was repeated twice and all measurements were done in triplicates. The activation pattern was consistent for both experiments. Data is presented as mean±standard deviation of the two independent experiments. Conservation panel: Hs: Homo sapiens; Mm: Mus musculus, Rn: Rattus norvegicus, Cf: Canis familiaris, Ss: Sus scrofa, Bt: Bos Taurus, Gg: Gallus gallus, Xt: Xenopus tropicalis, Dm: Drosophila melanogaster, Bm: Bombyx mori, Ce: Caenorhabditis elegans. na: not applicable (frameshift mutation). Bioinformatic predictions: “XX”: deleterious; “X”: deleterious (low confidence prediction); “+”: benign; “na”: no prediction available; Pph-2: Polyphen-2.
