Country-level contribution to the projected global change in biomass carbon storage (sequestration) is sorted by HDI rank. The portions of the curve that increase indicate countries expected to experience a net gain in storage due to LULC change. Countries projected to experience significant changes are noted. This graphic does not include the 0.0008 and 0.0005 billion Mg net loss in biomass carbon storage due to land conversion in unclassified HDI countries under the country and regional scenarios, respectively.
