Variable effects of scavenger receptor expression following balloon injury to the infrarenal aorta. Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to balloon injury at 4 and 6 atm. Following a 48-h recovery period, the thoracic and infrarenal aortas were extracted; RNA was made; and RT-PCR was performed for scavenger receptor expression.
