Experimental setup and procedures. (A) Shear stress cultivation of endothelial cells in a microchannel. Placed inside a humidified cell culture incubator with gas supply (5% CO2-95% air), the cells were cultured on the inner-upper surface of the microchannel which was connected to a continuous flow circuit of complete culture medium.
