Effect of nigericin on the de-epoxidation state (DES) of the Ddx cycle pigment pool in samples of T. pseudonana exposed to different experimental conditions: dark-aerobic conditions and 30 min of dark-anaerobic conditions in the presence or absence of nigericin. Cells were harvested by centrifugation and concentrated to a Chl a content of ∼30 μg ml⁻¹. Final concentration of nigericin was 40 mM. Data presented are the average of three replicates with the respective standard deviations.
