Pabp, Dcp2, eIF4G, Csx1, and eIf3a localize to cytoplasmic foci after stress treatment. Wild-type cells expressing GFP or RFP tagged proteins were grown to mid-log-phase in normal medium (unstressed) and then subjected to 1 M KCl. Alternatively, cells were deprived of glucose for 15 min (−glucose) and thereafter given back glucose (+glucose). The localization of fluorescent epitope-tagged proteins was determined by fluorescence microscopy.
