a

Positive scores reflect lack of awareness.

b

The DEX questionnaire is scored so that greater scores reflect greater impairment. In order to make the PCRS and DEX measure in the “same direction,” the discrepancy scores are multiplied by −1. This results in lower (more negative scores) reflecting lower awareness in both the (DEX and PCRS) behavioral discrepancy scores.
