AAV-CreGFP-mediated deletion of Mecp2 from BLA neurons results in an increase in active gene transcription. Protein was extracted from the BLA region of AAV-CreGFP- and AAV-GFP-injected mice and subjected to Western blot analyses. A, AAV-CreGFP in the BLA produced a decrease (∼50%) in MeCP2 protein expression. B, Western blot analysis revealed an increase in AcH3 levels in AAV-CreGFP-injected mice compared with AAV-GFP.
