Gating on CD38 and CD138 positive plasma cells reveals both CD45 negative (Figure 2A, gate P3) and CD45 positive (Figure 2B, gate P6) subsets, both of which are kappa cytoplasmic immunoglobulin light chain restricted (lower panels). Selective analysis of the light chain restricted plasma cells reveals both the CD45 negative and CD45 positive subsets to lack expression of CD19 (Figures 2C and 2D respectively).
