Hepatic membranes (56–144 μg protein) were incubated at 37°C for 30 min with 10 μg ¹²⁵I-labeled LDL in the absence (total) and presence (nonspecific) of 20-fold excess unlabeled LDL. Values for the normal membranes represent the mean ± S.E.
