Note.—The values in the literature for the bulk Hb_T in uncompressed breasts range from 17 μmol/L (28) to 40 μmol/L (29); those for So₂ are between 0.68 (14,28) and 0.84 (29); in the literature, μ_s′ at 830 nm has a mean value of 8.3 cm⁻¹ ± 2.0 (14).
