Selected MR images along short axis of a closed-chest dog heart obtained 4 (A), 10 (B), and 17 (C) s after bolus injection of intravascular contrast agent polylysine-Gd-DTPA into left atrium. A subtotal coronary stenosis on left anterior descending coronary artery restricted blood flow into anterior free wall of left ventricle (LV), reducing image intensity in this region (B, arrow) compared with normally perfused posterior regions.
