Rats received drugs intra-articularly in the right knee at the doses indicated, 30 min before injection of saline (control group) or λ-carrageenan (2%, 25 µL) and the knee joint diameter and myeloperoxidase activity were measured 6 h later. Dotted lines indicate the control value (lower) and the response after carrageenan treatment (upper).
