DOCP increases H+,K+-ATPase-mediated H+ secretion (JH) in ICs of the mouse collecting duct. JH (H+/min) in response to an acute intracellular acid load was measured in ICs of microperfused inner cortical collecting duct from control mice and those treated with DOCP for 8 days using a pH-sensitive dye.
