DOCP increases H⁺,K⁺-ATPase-mediated H⁺ secretion (J_H) in A-type ICs of the mouse collecting duct. J_H (H⁺/min) in response to an acute intracellular acid load was measured in ICs of microperfused inner cortical collecting duct from control mice and those treated with DOCP for 8 days using a pH-sensitive dye. A- and B-type ICs were differentiated by response to peritubular Cl⁻ removal/return. Data are presented as mean ± SEM.
