Loss of PI4KIIα or PI4KIIIβ reduces pools of signaling lipids and affects EGF-induced phosphoinositide metabolism. COS-7 cells were mock transfected or transfected with PI4KIIα or PI4KIIIβ siRNA. After 72 h, they were labeled with [³²P]phosphate and stimulated with 100 ng/ml EGF or vehicle control for 10 min. Cells were harvested and [³²P]-labeled lipids were analyzed by TLC.
