Animals in each group were treated as described in Figure 1. [a] At 24 h post UVB irradiation, the animals were sacrificed, epidermal cytosolic fraction was prepared and ODC activity was determined. The data represents the mean ± SE of 8 mice (#p < 0.001 vs control; *p <0.001 vs. UVB). [b] At different time points post UVB irradiation, animals were sacrificed. The epidermis was separated, epidermal protein lysates were prepared and western blot analysis was performed to determine the protein expression of ODC. Equal loading was confirmed by stripping the western blot and reprobing it for β-actin. The representative blots are shown from three independent experiments.
