The dashed line shows the idealized case of all the respiratory motion states having evenly distributed time durations for the given angle (i.e., teven). The dotted and dashed lines show the threshold of 0.3 times teven used to reject inclusion of projections within reconstruction when estimating motion. Notice that states 1, 2, 3, 8, and 9 would have missing projection angles when estimating motion.
