Determination of DOX uptake in vitro via HPLC following two different methods of administration to sarcomatoid (MO) MM cells for up to 48 h. Extracellular and intracellular DOX levels in MO cells measured by HPLC show greater cell delivery and retention of DOX when (A) loaded and released from APMS (APMS-DOX; 7.5×106 APMS/cm2; 160 nM DOX equivalent) in comparison to (B) direct addition to medium (160 nM DOX). Points represent the mean ± SEM (n = 3 in triplicate experiments).
