(B) A dendrogram plot of different classes of putative mechanosensitive channels. In the case of TRP family channels, only those that have been implicated in mechanosensation are included, amongst which TRPN1 is the only TRP protein that has been demonstrated to function as a mechanosensitive channel that is mechanically gated [12].
