Blockade of PE adherence. PEs were preincubated with binding buffer alone (no Ab) or binding buffer containing 1 mg/ml unrelated mouse IgG1 (mAb 191), mAb 4B3-A11, mAb 6A2-B1, or pooled human hyperimmune sera (HIS). After 30-min incubation, the PEs were added to immobilized CD36 and tested for binding in duplicate. The results are presented as percent inhibition ± SD from the control mAb 191.
