The reactivity of mAb 4B3-A11 and mAb 6A2-B1 with parasitized erythrocytes of various strains was measured by agglutination by using ascites fluid or culture supernatant (supt.) from hybridoma cells grown in tissue culture flasks (1:2 dilution). Agglutination with ascites was performed at three dilutions (1:5, 1:25, and 1:125) to ensure adequate agglutination conditions. Agglutination was scored as in Materials and Methods. ND, not determined.
Range of agglutination scores from independent assays. The range reports the highest score from each assay (typically 1:25 dilution for ascites fluid).
The numbers of independent assays are in parentheses.
Agglutination was performed with bioreactor culture supernatant at 1:5, 1:30, and 1:100 dilutions.
Agglutination was performed at 1:2 dilution with concentrated (20×) culture supernatant.
