Left ventricular infarct model. Normal portion of the ventricle is represented by a fixed elastance combined with a time-varying component. In the infarct, the fixed component represents the infarct with no time-varying elastance. The elements are in parallel, with the pressure in the normal myocardium (Plv) equal to the pressure in the infarct (Pinf).
