Nitrite levels in synovial exudates of zymosan-induced TMJ arthritis. Zymosan was injected i.art. and the NO release in exudates (as NO2−/NO3−) was measured 6 h after zymosan. Sham animals received only saline i.art. Injection of saline into the joints did not increase NO release throughout the experiment.
