Tolerance was classified in five different categories compared to the wild-type strain: S: very sensitive, s: sensitive, n: no difference from wild-type, r: resistant, R: very resistant. Mutants could be divided into three different groups: HL sensitive mutants, t-BOOH resistant mutants and mutants with no or only minor changes in tolerance (not shown).
