P values were calculated with the use of the chi-square test.

A change in the score on the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ) of 14% (or 8.1 units) indicates clinically meaningful improvement.30

A reduction of 30% (or 2 points) on a visual-analogue scale indicates clinically meaningful improvement.31

§

A change of greater than 5 in the total score of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) indicates clinically meaningful disturbed or poor sleep.24

A reduction of 10% (or 6 points) on the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression (CES-D) index indicates a clinically significant change.32

||

On follow-up, changes of 6.5 points on the SF-36 physical-component scale and of 7.9 points on the mental-component scale indicate clinically meaningful improvement.28,33
