Five independently isolated 4-dpn tooth bud cell preparations were generated with each of 3 different collagenase/dispase enzyme concentrations, and grown in culture for 10 days. Initial and final cell counts were used to determine optimized enzyme concentrations of 0.4 mg/mL collagenase and 0.2 mg/mL dispase, which were subsequently used in all experimental implants.
