After controlling for baseline clinical depression rates (p<0.001), the percentage of people with clinical depression was significantly higher among patients with liver disease progression (p=0.016) compared to those without progression in their liver disease using ANOVA modeling. The proportions did not change over time (p=0.82), nor was there an interaction between time and liver disease progression (p=0.98).
