Analysis of peripheral blood mononuclear cell lineages during the course of interferon (IFN)-α treatment in renal cell carcinoma patients of trial arms A and B. Absolute cell counts for CD3⁺CD56⁻ T cells, CD3⁺CD4⁺ T cells, CD3⁺CD8⁺ T cells, CD3⁻CD16⁺56⁺ natural killer (NK) cells and CD14⁺ monocytes were determined at various time-points pre-, during and post-IFN-α therapy.
