Results from the work of D. Passerini, V. Laroute, P. Le Bourgeois, P. Loubière, P. Ritzenthaler, M. Cocaign-Bousquet, and M. L. Daveran-Mingot (submitted for publication), who revisited the definition of Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis biovar diacetylactis and positioned the six strains in this taxonomy.
