Effect of PI-3-K family (PX-866) and ATM kinase (KU-55933) inhibitors on monensin-induced cell cycle redistribution. Intracellular parasites were exposed either to normal culture medium or culture medium plus 5μΜ PX-866 or 2μΜ KU-55933 for 18 h, 0.75 ng/ml monensin for 24 h, or 0.75 ng/ml monensin for 6 h, followed by 0.75 ng/ml monensin plus 5 μΜ PX-866 or 2 μΜ KU-55933 for 18 h. DNA content was measured using Sytox green and analyzed by flow cytometry. Representative histograms are shown. Each histogram represents 10,000 total events.
