The graph shows a bacterial binding assay to Me-180 cells. Cells were pretreated neutralizing, polyclonal antibody AF262 prior to assay. Bacterial adherence was allowed for 1.5 hours, unbound bacteria were washed away, and adherent bacteria were counted the next day. Shown is an average of 3 independent experiments and standard deviations (P<0.05). Percentage of bacterial adherence is presented. A 100% adherence corresponds to 40–60 adherent bacteria per Me-180 cell.
