DEAB is a specific inhibitor of ALDH1. (B) The results represent the expression of ALDH1 in cells derived from spheroid cultures (hedged columns) compared to monolayer cells (open columns). ALDH1 expression of SDC is generally significantly enhanced (A, B). UD-SCC22, UT-SCC24A, and UM-SCC11B displaying a partial mesenchymal phenotype have already relatively high ALDH1 expression in parental cell lines. (** p<0.01, * p<0.05).
